My name is Brian. I have been surfing for over 39 years, searching for the highest performance surf breaks this planet has to offer. Home is California, but Hawaii is where my heart is. From 2 to 25 feet, I’ve ridden it, and the bigger the better. Now with a second generation of Hovie, Bronson, we have redefined the high performance shortboard for the new generation of surfing that is going down. Shaping since 1971, and in production since 1979, I have shaped it all. From the first short board single fins, the real Lis Fish, to the big wave pintail guns of the 70’s and 80’s, to the twin fins and than into the tri fin generation in 1985. I have rounded it all out with the modern longboard and the Return of the Quad, what I beleive is the design of the future. Quads work unreal from the Fish, Shortboard, Gun, Longboard and even SUP designs. They take any shape and make the board turn quicker, faster down the line, and hold in the tube better. Here at Hovie Surf, we live pure soul surf. We surf for the life style, from the health and mental aspect the surfing lifestyle will cleanse you soul.
